NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT DURING THE SUMMER

Enrollment for the 2018-19 School year is currently available at the Central Administration Office located at 349 East 9th Street.  Enrollment forms for all schools are available at that location or can be downloaded below.

Completed enrollment forms will be accepted at Central Admin office through July and our schools will be staffed beginning August 1.  If you have questions or need additional information during the summer please call us at (719) 530-5204.

The Central Administration Office is located at 349 East 9th Street.  Summer hours are Monday – Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 11:30am.

GENERAL ENROLLMENT

Welcome to the Salida School District.  To enroll for kindergarten through 12th grade, all new students must be:

•    A resident of the District (proof of residency required) – if you are not a district resident, please see the non-resident information below
•    Between the ages of 5 and 21 years
•    5 years old on or before August 1 for kindergarten or 6 years old on or before August 1 for first grade

All new students must have:

•    A birth certificate or its equivalent
•    Up-to-date immunization records or statement of exemption
•    Name, address and phone number of last school attended

Enrollment forms are available for download on this page and may also be picked up at each school as well as the central administrative office.


NON-DISTRICT RESIDENT ENROLLMENT

The Salida School District accepts students from other school districts on a space and staff available basis.

Students living outside of District boundaries may apply for non-resident authorization to the school of their choice.  In order to apply a Non-District Resident Application must be filled out.  Forms will be available in every school building and in the central administrative office.  Completion of the form does not guarantee enrollment.  The receiving school principal will make the decision as to whether an application is accepted or rejected based on criteria established in state law and Board policy and regulations.
